Soraya Silchenstedt was born to an Indo-Guyanese mother and a Norwegian father. Her multi-cultural background provokes an aesthetic fusion visible in her delicately feminine jewelry. A native New Yorker, Soraya was formally educated at both the Parsons School of Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology. Soraya’s devotion to the craft of jewelry design awarded her a nomination for the prestigious CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award in 2011.
Soraya’s artistic approach imaginatively transforms the magical corners of the universe into unique and timeless jewelry. Each piece is meticulously created with 18k gold and precious gemstones, consisting of subtle pieces that are imbued with romantic, vibrant, and whimsical notions.
